Thinking about panic attacks while driving can immediately cause us to become anxious. This of course, will build up and can get to the point that it may actually cause us to have an attack! This can be especially scary when we consider the hazards and potential for accidents.

One of the first and most important things we should do if we feel an attack on its way is to find a spot and pull over as soon as possible. This should be heeded for obvious safety reasons, and to get some time to regain control of ourselves. So how do we go about this when we are stuck somewhere?

The first thing to do is to start controlling our breathing by taking deep breaths. This will help to subside some of the additional symptoms such as hyperventilation, feeling light headed or as if we may feint. Do this until breathing can be done normally. Now we shall try to relax.

Sit perfectly still, or try to and keep the attention and focus on doing so. Once we are able to do this for a few minutes, we will feel relaxed and back in control once again. If these attacks happen only when driving, or even if it has happened once, it can generate substantial fear every time we get into the drivers seat. This of course does not help, and can increase odds of it happening.

Take some water, food, and a cell phone along when driving. If we get hungry, it can increase anxiety and bring about symptoms. Having a cell phone gives us the notion that we are not completely alone, and we can reach someone at a moments notice if necessary.

Panic Attacks While Driving can cause constant fear in our lives. Is it possible to regain our Happiness and Freedom we deserve?
